Well, we went hiking this fine satuday afternoon. It was five adults and five kids (ages five and under). It was a challenge, but we had alot of fun. We hiked along Hunter Creek in northwest Reno. It was a pretty good climb. We took a pellet gun and did some shooting and enjoyed the scenery. The kids were able to play in the water...well play by the water(it was freezing!). The weather was beautiful and we had a great time!
Charles and Kevin with the babies(Kezy and Dessa)on their backs.
We stopped to have a snack. Kezy really enjoyed her PB and J. She is so cute!
This is Kezy not wanting to put her feet in the freezing water.
We love it when Aunt Airiel comes with us!
The kids learned to shoot the pellet gun. Even Anika shot it!

My Green Thumb
This is my first garden. It was so much fun planting things and watching them grow. I have to thank Kevin for making my cute boxes. Everything has grown so well, except my broccoli. We have enjoyed many fresh vegetables and herbs. My tomato plants turned into tomato trees! I was so glad to find out I could grow things. There's alot of pressure when you grow up on a farm, it seems that I would have to be a natural. Well, it worked out anyway.

So, we had a super fun summer. Its nice that Kevin has time away from homework and school to spend time with his girls. Kevin went on tons of campouts with the scouts this summer to: pigrock, Hobart reservoir, and Wheeler Peak. We went as a family with Charles' family to Pigrock near Pyramid Lake. We took a hike and explored the Rock Room. On the 4th of July, Charles, Anya, Dallin, Kristen, Kevin, and I rafted the south fork of the American River near Auburn CA. It was so fun, we wrecked once and all got spilled into the river. We had a fun lake day at Pyramid Lake. We swam, played frisbee, and went tubing. Keziah's birthday was a huge succeess. She had a watermelon birthday with lots of watermelon. She tore into her cake and enjoyed her presents. Kezy started walking the first of July, which makes mommy work alot harder. We call her the Tornado! We ended the summer with a great family reunion down at the farm Labor Day weekend. We love being around our family. We played alot of volleyball, horseshoes, and took 5th in the couples obstacle course. So we will see how this semester pans out.
